The YouTube video, “Certified Tile Installer Test”, shows that you are able to pass the test and what it looks similar to. The video also provides reasons the reason why this test must be considered. We’ll discuss more.
The CTEF (Ceramic Tile Education Foundation) is the test’s administrator. The test comprises both a written and practical section. The latter portion is 25 percent of the final score. Practical portion to be considered the rest. In the second section, you’ll see a mockup tile installation of about 25 square feet, and although it’s relatively small however, it’s a lot of work.
A mockup frame is constructed of wood. The test takers must set up a backerboard on their floorbefore putting in the tiles. Although the exam may not contain the exact amount of tiles that were used in the mockupdoes, the essential requirements are the same. The students are also required to install the tile on the wall of the frame, after installing the backer board using tape and trimming the seams. This has to be carried out following specific steps.
