The video below shows what an inspection of 6 years appears to be. We’ll take a look at what routine checks are able to aid in protecting your home in commercial or residential property.
The initial thing a tech in charge is clean an extinguisher to prevent fire. It is not the job of the service technician to spray the extinguisher, or create an mess while doing this. Instead the hose should be removed from the handle. The second hose that leads to the collection container is then attached. After clamping the trigger the technician drains the entire extinguisher.
Technicians use a rubber wrench to remove and shut off the pressure gauge and trigger mechanism. The service tech can now see the inside of the extinguisher. He utilizes a flashlight along with a dental mirror to examine whether there are any defects, such as cracks or corrosion. The cylinder can be refilled to refill once it has passed the visual inspection.
Technicians take the valve apart and rebuilds the trigger valve. Technicians clean the trigger valve with compressed air before inserting new stems and O-rings. After the cylinder is cleaned it is then removed from the valve and replaced.
